Producing in Québec?

Producing in Quebec? Pitch in to train the technicians working for you!

Is your total payroll for the year over $2 million?
If yes, you'll be required to contribute to the Workforce Skills Development and Recognition Fund (WSDRF)

Are you a foreign producer planning to film in Quebec? Do you expect your total payroll for the year to be over $2 million? If you answered ‘yes’ to both, provincial law requires that you contribute to the development and recognition of skilled labor (The Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition).

An investment equal to at least 1% of your total payroll is required, in training activities designed to develop workers’ skills, within the calendar year your production takes place.

What’s in it for me?
Skilled technicians at your service

By contributing to L'inis, you participate directly in the professional development of workers in the audiovisual industry. Your support ensures that we will be able to provide comprehensive training programs in line with your specific needs.

You can be sure the funds will benefit your production.

Contribute where it counts!
L’inis is an organization mandated to train the technicians you recruit

L'inis is authorized by the Government of Quebec to receive your support.

L’inis is the only cooperative training institution entirely dedicated to film, television, and new media.

Our mandate is to offer a slate of professional development programs that adapt to the changing needs of the industry and the people who work in it.

Over L’inis’ 20-year history, more than 10,000 professionals have completed our programs. And this year, we’re offering 60 cutting-edge training courses, some in partnership with 15 industry guilds and member associations. L’inis is proud to continue offering quality professional development for skilled workers in the audiovisual sector, year after year, thanks to contributions from employers like you.

How it works?
Your money works for you.

As a contributor to the Fund, you can ask for specific training in relation with your project’s needs, either through a local union or directly with L’inis.

Many productions have benefitted of this opportunity in 2016.

Ensure that your funds will help train workers in our industry!

Please note that contributions do not automatically go to the audiovisual sector and that you must select L'inis as your recipient.
